In 1983, family-owned Chapman Funerals & Cremations merged with Sylvia Funeral Home, located in Vineyard Haven on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Five years later, a more centrally located, spacious facility was built in the Vineyard Town of Oak Bluffs.
